I guess being born and brought up in a family where there was always the unconscious sense of freedom to grow has made me the type of person that I am. Moreover I am proud to proclaim that St. Teresa’s School, Santa Cruz and MMK College where I studied helped me widen my horizons. I also belong to a parish where I had the opportunity to serve and develop whatever little talents I had. All these experiences helped me see value in commitment, dedication, punctuality, loyalty and hard work.
At BBP I am able to exercise my value system and thanks to the encouragement of the Directors I always see my work not as a mere task to be completed but more as a chance to learn and project the good of the company. After all we are ‘family’ and every action or word ultimately reflects on the family.
So come rain or shine, come bandhs or strikes, I try to be at work so that the show goes on. After all, what we do is so much a part of “show business.” My openness to learn new things has helped in being able to grapple with aspects of the work I am not really professionally trained in. My ability to interact with people has helped me deal with personalities ranging from professionals & politicians to couriers and electricians. Diplomacy may not be my forté, but I have been working on it.
For me, BBP prepares us for the Bigger & Brighter Picture that is LIFE!

Manas Malhotra
started his career in Sales and Marketing with an American home furnishings buying house in India and went on to pursue an MBA in Marketing and Entertainment from University of Southern California, Los Angeles. During his MBA, he interned for 10 months at 20th Century Fox (in theatrical and home entertainment marketing) and with Dark Horse Entertainment for 2 months.
Post-MBA, Manas worked as a Marketing Executive for a software company in Northern California, before moving back to India.
In India, Manas worked as Marketing Head of a film production company (Kaleidoscope Entertainment) and handled the marketing and promotion of the biggest film of 2005 (in India) called, “Mangal Pandey – The Rising” starring Aamir Khan (star of the Oscar nominated “Lagaan”) and Toby Stephens. The marketing campaign and the opening of the film (Mangal Pandey had one of the biggest openings of any film in the Indian film industry) have earned him the reputation of being a savvy film marketing professional.
Manas has also been working as a Development & Marketing Manager for a film festival (Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles) from the time it began in 2003 and has played a major role in Marketing and Development of the festival since its inception. He represents the festival in India.
Manas recently joined Bharatbala Productions as Vice-President and will be responsible for all Business Development and Marketing related activities at the company.

Vasant Nath
Graduated in English Literature from St. Stephen's College, New Delhi and completed a Master's in Sociology from the University of Cambridge, UK. Since then, has assisted director Deepa Mehta in the pre-production and shoot of the feature film 'Water'. Currently assisting Bharatbala in making The 19th Step. Spends free time reading, developing scripts and making short films.
